Emirates Strengthens Commercial Team with Strategic Appointments in the Middle East and Africa

The rotation will strengthen the team with the expertise of seasoned outstation managers, including six UAE Nationals.

Emirates has announced several appointments within its commercial team across key markets in the Middle East and Africa, aimed at reinforcing the airline’s leadership position and supporting its long-term strategic initiatives.

This rotation will empower seasoned outstation managers, including six UAE Nationals, to enhance Emirates’ commercial capabilities in their respective markets. Their expertise will be invaluable during this pivotal period of growth and expansion for the airline.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer commented: “Our long-serving commercial managers have played integral roles in Emirates’ global operations over the years, and today’s appointments demonstrate our confidence in their continued contributions to strengthen our business across the GCC and Africa.I wish the commercial managers all the success in their new roles and have full confidence in their ability to further thrive as Emirates’ ambassadors in our outstations.”

Effective October 1, several commercial managers will transition into new roles: Abdulla Adnan, formerly Manager of Tanzania, will take on the position of Manager for Morocco; Cathrine Wesley, previously Country Manager for Ghana and Ivory Coast, will become Manager for Algeria; Fahad Al Hassawi, who was Manager of Oman, will now serve as District Manager for Dharan and the KSA Eastern Province; Khalfan Al Salami, previously Manager of Morocco, will assume the role of Manager for Kuwait and Iraq; Omar Alhemeiri, who was Manager of Algeria, will now be Manager of Tanzania; and Saood Al Aqili, formerly District Manager for Dharan and the KSA Eastern Province, will become Country Manager for Ghana.

Emirates is also pleased to announce the promotion of Khalid Al Zarooni, currently Manager Kuwait and Iraq, to Emirates’ Vice President, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

National Commercial Outstation Programme
